BNY Mellon Continues Wealth Management Hiring - This Time It's In Philadelphia

Another day brought another wealth management appointment at BNY Mellon.

The US firm has appointed H Belin Robertson as senior director for business development in the mid-Atlantic region, it said in a statement yesterday. He joins the Philadelphia wealth management team along with three other investment professionals. Robertson reports to managing director Garrett Alton.

The newly created role is part of a two-year effort to increase the firm’s sales force nationally, including a substantial increase in the Philadelphia region, it said in a statement. Robertson previously worked at Merrill Lynch, where he was a financial advisor focused on serving high net worth clients. Before that, he led business development efforts for Neuberger Berman in several Western and Midwestern markets.

BNY Mellon Wealth Management also recently hired three senior portfolio managers in its Philadelphia regional office: Renzo Cerabino, Carolyn Melzer and Clark Stossel. Combined they bring more than 40 years of financial services experience and all report to managing director Mark Haslam.

The firm has been adding dozens of people to its wealth management business across the US, and internationally. As of December 31, 2013, it oversaw over $185 billion of client assets; the entire BNY Mellon group oversaw $1.58 trillion of assets at the end of last year.
